Our Story

Legacy Dance & Tumbling Complex is simply that, a legacy. Amy Stevens-Kaufmann, Calla Merriman and Claire Kaufmann are following in the footsteps of Dr. Tom and Eleanor Stevens and their 51 years of business as Stevens School of Dance & Gymnastics. This mother/daughter trio are excited to start a new chapter in their family business while building off the values set forth by their predecessors. Keeping the focus on family and creating an inclusive environment for students to grow and flourish, Legacy Dance & Tumbling is excited to offer classes for girls and boys of all ages. Dance is offered at both the recreational and competitive level. The recreational tumbling/gymnastics program is very strong while there is also an option to compete as well. Legacy has a strong group of coaches with education and expertise in dance, tumbling, gymnastics and cheerleading that help young students gain both knowledge and skill about the subject matter. Legacy looks forward to educating the next generation of dancers and tumblers in the Central Illinois area.
