Dance Competition Team
Mission
Legacy believes that being involved in competitive dance at an early age develops positive self-esteem, confidence, accountability, and leadership in young dancers. As members of the team, our dancers will have the opportunity to perform and compete in a variety of venues. We always maintain a high standard of age appropriate routines and uniforms for our dancers. While a high score is nice to receive, it is not our main goal. We are striving to grow and stretch as dancers and to enjoy dancing for the sake of dance.
Commitment
Legacy Dance Competition Team Members are trained weekly in ballet, jazz, hip hop and at least one additional dance style. They take additional leaps and turns and stretch/conditioning classes weekly on top of their competition routine rehearsals. Legacy Dancers compete both regionally and nationally every year. Legacy attends 4 Team Regionals and 1 Team Nationals. There are additional optional competitions for solos, duets and trios.
Awards & Recognition
Legacy Dance Competition Team, previously known as Stevens Dance Competition Team has won numerous Regional and National Titles over the years. Legacy has won Choreography and Entertainment Awards for both regular and virtual competitions. Legacy won Overall Top Advanced Studio in 2024 at the Triumph National Talent Competition.
